Historical figures, especially those for whom we have bones but no photographs, are a popular choice for forensic reconstructions. In order to make FFR a scientifically acceptable technique, an objective method must be devised that can produce the same result each time. Instead, the surface of the cast is painted in flesh tones. They did everything they could to identify the woman, but to no avail. A way we do this that's less subjective than pure sculpture.
