Blondie Boopadoop, an attractive 'flapper', and wealthy playboy Dagwood Bumstead, the son of a billionaire tycoon, at first seemed an unlikely pairing, but the strip was well received. And the little kids, by the mids, found Blondie to be hopelessly out of style. This makes Dagwood look like a childish man, but that is what he happens to be.

Controversial topics such as politics and religion are shunned, and liquor and saloons are never even mentioned. He is famous for his super-duper sandwiches. They look a little different, but we all look a little different, too. Dagwood, however, thinks she's talking about their wedding anniversary.
